Cecilia Dyberg, PhD

Dr Cecilia Dyberg defended her PhD thesis in 2016 at Karolinska Institutet under the supervision of Dr John Inge Johnsen. Cecilia graduated with a dual degree in MSc in molecular biology and nutrition at Stockholm University. In her PhD project, she studied the role of Hedgehog and Wnt signaling in neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma, with the aim to develop novel therapeutic approaches based on biological understanding of both diseases. As of August 2017, Cecilia joined the Baryawno lab as a postdoc with the main focus to study cancer resistance in medulloblastoma using single-cell RNA-sequencing and PDX modeling.

Cecilia’s postdoctoral fellowship is funded by the Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation.
