Emmi Puuvuori, PhD

Dr. Emmi Puuvuori is a licensed radiographer in Finland and Sweden since 2015. She holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science, which she earned in 2023 from Uppsala University in Sweden. During her doctoral studies, her research focused on translational PET-CT imaging of inflammation processes in both large and small animal models. With her background as a radiographer, Emmi possesses expertise in clinical nuclear medicine, as well as CT and MRI imaging.

Emmi’s dedication lies in enhancing translational research. During her postdoctoral fellowship in Baryawno lab, she will focus on the development of innovative mouse models for metastatic neuroblastoma. Additionally, she aims to advance the utilization of Alpha-particle therapy, bringing it closer to practical application in neuroblastoma patient care.
